In case you don’t know

Life isn’t like twlight. That kinda guy just doesn’t exsist and you have to come to realize that you don’t want to marry Edward. Guys like that are the guys that you dream about. The only thing that you’re not going to want to admit is that your not going want the perfect guy, because the perfect guy is boring.  When you see you’re happily ever after you don’t think about the fighting and the making up. No one wants to think about the bad moments and it’s human nature not to.

But it doesn’t matter if we don’t naturally imagine the bad moments in any relationship, the bad moments are there and there isn’t anything you can do about them and the truth is that the bad moments strenthen you and they make a relationship stronger because if you can fight and find the solution you’ve learned something, and in the end you get to make up.

But the craze over Twlight has pushed me to become beyond confused. I love Twilight but it’s not that big a deal. Pick up a couple of romance novels. You’ll find something better. I promise you. Just remember it’s fiction.

Why?

Romance novels always have a lot of sex… most of the time. I’ve read sex scenes where they’ve been: in bed, on the floor, against the wall, in the pool, in the desert, the pool, car, store, backyard, someone else’s backyard… you would think they would get tired after all that. Never.

We’ll never have sex as pretty or as perfect as in a romance novel. If you want perfection go for the fiction cause if it doesn’t cause you some kind of pleasure at least you’ll get a good laugh out of it. Or you’ll just cry, but keep in mind that the shit that happens in a romance novel doesn’t happen in real life.

34? and counting

She Woke Up Married

By: Suzanne Macpherson

Baaaaadddd books. They tried to work with a new idea and they failed on every idea they had on that book, but they tried again anyway and they failed again.

35

Smooth Talking Stranger

By: Lisa Kleypas

If you want a romance that’s more then a romance you’ll read this. Somehow whenever she writes she makes it into something that you’ll remember and you’ll actually want to cry sometimes when you read this.

36

The Prince Kidnaps a Bride

Christina Dodd

I was expecting an explosion of anger and I got almost nothing. It was predicted that the herione of the book had a temper and I was waiting for the shit to hit the fan but it never made it that far. And I never recovered.

37

Lip Service

Cute.

38

Under Her Skin

Susan Mallery

Cute.

39

Straight From the Hip

Susan Mallery

In more ways then one this book was better then the first two. Susan Mallery will never stand out but she’ll make sure that you enjoy the ride.

40

Mind Game

By: Christine Feehan

It had it’s kick like it always does. You can never deny that she sucks you in but you feel like you’ve been on the ride before.

41

The Book of Scandal

Julia London

It was a special book. I loved how Julia made an old plot and new plot with amazing emotions.

42

Seduced By a Spy

Andrea Pickens

Oh god shoot me. She’s so boring that I fall asleep. You don’t see action untill the end and up untill then it’s pretty much torture.

43

Sugar Daddy

By: Lisa Kleypas

OMG. Must read. Not a whole lot of romance though. Still amazing.

44

The Penalty Box

Deirdre Martin

She has realistic characters and sometimes it makes it hard to get into a book but you get attached and before you know it you want to know how it ends and see the characters with a happy ending.

45

Chasing Stanley

Deirdre Martin

The guy makes it hard to like him and you miss the moment when he figures out he actually is a dick which was sad to me.

45

Addicted To Love

Lori Wilde

Cute

46

Don’t Bargain With a Devil

Sabrina Jeffries.

Couldn’t really tell you what happened.

47

Love Bites

Lynsay  Sands

I really don’t know why so many people love these books I’m just not one of them. You would think characters this old would have more depth.

Kiss The Bride

Patrica Cabot

Not one of my favorite. It’s sad but true.

48

Savor Me Slowly

Gena Showalter

Theres just something that I didn’t like.

49

Mischief 24/7

Kasey Micheals

Another book that delivered.

50!

The Devilish Pleasures of a Duke.

Jillian Hunter

Emma falls to hard to fast.

THATS IT I’M DONE. I did my job and now I am never going to do this again. Fifty books and I have more but you could care less and so could I.

I wasn’t made for this

I just don’t care to do this whole read a book and tell you what I think. I just don’t care. I got this far I should finish with the stupid fifty book thing but I just don’t care and you have no idea how many books are waiting to be caught up on.

I’m going to make a list of everything I’ve read and if it’s worth mentioning something on it I’ll do that but if not you’re screwed. No one reads this thing why should I care. I’m not made to review books. I figure everyones different. What one person hates another loves and so me telling you something about a book isn’t going to change how you feel about it. I just type to look at the words.

A real romance ending

I love romance because it gives us what we don’t want in real life. In reality we can find a good book that we really like amd we read it over and over. We always know the ending. We always know how they get back together, but in fiction it ends at the last page when the hero and the herione come together and admit there feelings and ride off into the sunset.

We’re smart enough to know that’s not how it works in the real world. In the real world then wedding costs too much. The in-laws don’t like us. The significant other is all we ever wanted and yet not enough. In real life everything we have isn’t enough. Money doesn’t make us happy and neither does love. It’s a not a simple moment of knowing that we’re with the one we love. We usually figure that what it is about love when he/she dies.

There’s your happy ending.

A romance ending ends a the best possible moment but you don’t know about the fights that follow that. You don’t see the almost divorce or the accident that comes six months after the marriage. The uglyness that follows and that’s the way it’s suppose to be. If we wanted that then we could just be happy with how our own love lives turn out.

The fourth

I’m working on one of my favorite holiday’s. If I were a normal thinking person I would just call in. I’m still sorely tempted but considering the fact that I bitch when people do that I would feel guilty if I did it today just so I would have the day off.

Holiday’s really don’t have any meaning anymore. Holiday’s are all about what we get out of it not the meaning. I don’t want off for any particular reason other then the fact that I like watching fireworks. I don’t really care that it’s a holiday with meaning behind it. I like the pretty stuff that blows up. A couple of years ago we almost set our screen house on fire with a run away fire cracker. We’ll actually when I think about it. The screen house did catch on fire we just caught it before it did anything.

And so that’s what The Fourth of July means. Blowing shit up and trying not to set anything on fire. If you do do anything stupid you should try to walk away with a funny story because it’ll look better when you’re explaining why you don’t have a hand. Dont drink and blow shit up. Not that I have personal experience, I just imagine it wouldn’t end well.

book 27 and counting I think…

I’m in No Mood For Love

By: Rachel Gibson

She’s a good writer and everything but I don’t see what all the fuss is about. The books aren’t that great. The romance is there, the humor is there and yet your left with an average romance every time. It’s not bad but I’ll forget I read this book before the end of the week.

book 28

Wedding For One and Tattoo for Two

By: Dawn Atkins

Good but again neither book was all that, and I wasn’t all that crazy about the first story. I wasn’t crazy about the main charaters. Again. Another example of why I should stop buying short stories.

book 29

Practice Makes Perfect

By: Julie James

Yes give me more. I loved it just as much as her first book.

Book 30

(I am so ready to not do this anymore. Only a couple more left.)

The Wicked Games of a Gantleman

By: Jillian Hunter

It was good but I couldn’t tell you much on what happened in the book because it’s been awhile and it’s all fuzzy. I love this authors books but they don’t stick out for me much. I like her and I get a lot of her books but her plots are hard to get into mostly because I’m usually not into them in the beginning, but with her I always get sucked in because there fun.

book 31

Seduced At Midnight

by:Jacquie D’Alessandro

Took me forever to get through this. I wasn’t crazy about the main character because she was the type that felt sorry for herself throughout the whole book and it got me tired after awhile. You never forgot her situation as being engaged to someone she didn’t love for one second and it just got old.

One Forbidden Evening

By: Jo Goodman

Slow to get into but it gets better.

Blood Magic

By: Jennifer Lyon

I read it and I will read the second book when it comes out. It sorta reminds me of The Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It doesn’t even compare but it’s still good.

DONE.

oh god. Make it stop

So okay I have a little to catch up on. I should be here into sometime next week. But I want to put the books away and out of sight. I am determined to keep this up and so I keep them on the nightstand. and now there are books everywhere, and after I hit 50 of these fuckers I’m not giving a shit about writing what I liked or didn’t like about the books. I’m just writing the title. This isn’t my thing. I don’t care to write down what I liked or didn’t like about a book. It’s a personal opinion anyway. What I love someone else might hate. Unless it’s a really bad book I could give a shit about writing about it. Anyway… onto getting these books onto a website and out of mind.

Into the Shadow By: Christina Dodd

It was a weird book in which the bad guy really was a bad guy but… he really wasn’t. At least not my defintion on a bad guy. I liked the book but I have a bad case of expecting-something-else. I thought that the book was going to be one way and it turned out to be something different so I never really knew what to think. It was enjoyable and I didn’t hate it though so I guess thats something.

Only Mine

By: Elizabeth Lowell

It was good but nothing different if you ask me. I really couldn’t tell you much about it now since I read this awhile ago, but I can tell you that I was glad when I enjoyed because I had some other books by her and I had never even read her before.

“You know you have a problem when…”

Must Love Mistletoe

By: Christie Ridgway

The book was good. I enjoyed the book. I loved the book. I hated the ending. I HATED THE ENDING. It wasn’t a bad ending it just happened out of nowhere and everything happened so fast that I was left confused at the end. BAD ENDING.

The Mercenary

By: Cherry Adair

This was one of her first books and you could tell. I wasn’t crazy about it. It was a bad case of average and if I had read this book first instead of one of her older books I would not have come back for more.

Men of Courage

By: Lori Foster…

I’ve found that colab’s move to fast for my taste. I used to like them and now I just want them to fade away into the backround and never be found. Everything happens to fast to be anything special. It sucks that I have a few other books like this to get through.

I’ll Try and Catch you up on the Good stuff…

Okay, so I fail at this. I find it kind fun to write about what I’ve read. It allows me to know how much I actually can read in a year but this is turning out to be a job when I don’t write anything for awhile. I’ve been busy. Thats my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

Book 20

Always and Forever By: Linda Howard…

This was a colab of sorts. Three different stories by three different authors and I can tell you right now that theres nothing inspired about the first two stories and I really couldn’t tell you about the last because I gave up before I started. After two blah stories I didn’t want to read another one. I can tell you that they were not only not inspired but you could tell that there wasn’t a lot of effort put into any of these stories. I didn’t hate them but I really didn’t care about them either.

Rating (failure) average 2 stars

book 21

Enchanting Caroline

By: Patricia Cabot

For any of you who don’t know Patrica Cabot is Meg Cabot’s other name that she wrote under for awhile. I enjoy Patricia Cabot a lot more over Meg because her historicals, while typical, are so much more inspired then the stuff that she comes out with now. She wrote like an adult. I don’t like how she writes now and I can tell you with honesty that the two styles are completely different from one another. The story however in this one didn’t pull me all that much and I wasn’t as crazy about it as the others, but I still did enjoy it and I still do remember most of what happened in the book which I usually don’t do because I forget books like seconds after reading them.

Rating: 3 stars (she’s done better)

book 22

How To Marry a Marquis

By: Julia Quinn

Wow. I loved the book. What more is there to say. I loved the characters and I loved the plot but whats weird is I can’t remember the ending… hold on… right I didn’t like the ending that much. It was romantic and everything and I didn’t hate it but sometimes I have an idea of how a book should end and this wasn’t it sadly. It was still a really good book.

Rating 4 1/2 stars

Book 23 (and then I’m done for the night)

Secret Life of a Vampire

Kerrelyn Sparks

There was a shock factor involved in this book and it worked in the beginning. I liked that they kept a lot of the “rules” that I have for vampire novels and I could bond with the characters, however the story itself didn’t mesh with me. The main character annoyed me a bit. You would think that a cop would have more of an issue with trusting a vampire but this one didn’t. It could have been more thought out. I think it was just one of those book where I didn’t like the plot, because I didn’t have issues with much of anything else.

Rating( I usually can’t give that when I don’t really have an issue with the writing. there has to be flaws the made me really not like the book)

However I will say that the main characters should have been more developed.

Hmmm… I’ve read a couple of books

It might take me two days to go through them all. I hadn’t realized that it had been so long and I had read so much.

And hey how many times does it take for a blonde to do her taxes? do you want to know? I don’t know. They still haven’t gotten accepted yet. For Gods sake if I get an e-mail one more time… anyway where was I?

Blue-Eyed Devil

By: Lisa Kleypas

Hmmm…. I just finished this one. I love it, but the beginning was more inspired then the romance that took place later in the book if you ask me. In the very beginning the story was set in the middle of the main characters crappy marriage and following divorce. I felt connected with the main character of the story during that time. You felt for her during the hard times and the good ones.

The romance that followed after was pretty average to me. Was it enjoyable? Yes. But nothing inspiring. There was humor though. And there were some really good moments in the book. However the hero of the novel could have been more… creative I guess. Anyway, it was still a fun book to read.

Rating: (who the fuck cares. It was a good book.)

I’m in a mood tonight… hmmm. Maybe I should do this tomorrow. At least I got one book done.
